Tyson Fury: Future World Heavyweight Champion?

TYSON FURY: Hero or villain in the eyes of the British Public?

Current WBC #3 Ranked  Heavyweight Contender has failed to accquire full UK Support.

I was sat pondering on my weightlifting bench in my local gym in Lancaster, May of last year (2011), when the tall bulky figure of Tyson Luke Fury wandered in on one quiet Saturday Morning.

I had no idea who he was; and began making idle 'chit-chat' with this mamoth.
He mentioned he'd recently come back from a holiday and needed to lose some weight to get in shape for his next fight. I thought he was one of the endless amateur cage fighters that were 'ten-a-penny' in Lancaster.

Tyson had a great sense of humour and joked at his own expense a few times, discussed his fitness and talked lovingly of his Wife and Children.

He could certainly lift weight- and proceeded to hoist over 115KG in the air from a benched position with ease, numerous times.

It was only later on that year- in July, when I saw him being touted for the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship against Dereck Chisora that I realised how serious this force of nature could be for the Heavyweight Scene.

He continued to demolish an overweight Chisora (whom would later take on Vitali Klitschko, David Haye and Robert Helenius with great acclaim) , with a controlled and often frenzied assault to show his recently incarcerated father the prized belts.

A little over a year later Fury had beaten names including Martin Rogan, Vinny Maddalone, Kevin Johnson, Neven Pajkic and Nicolai Firtha (all apart from Kevin Johnson by KO)

Yet still people refused to take Fury seriously at the World Class Level.
Some widely muse at his almost self- harm in the ring; when fighting in a one-sided televised bout, he almost upset the apple-cart by catching himself with a sweet uppercut, that left him stunned; and the audience bemused.......

Despite this, many of his critics have ridiculed his refusal to fight David Price (another British Powerhouse Pugilist, currently fighting at Domestic Level) and flamed his name in countless online blogs and throughout the social media.....
However, Tyson Fury continues to dismantle all competetion he faces in the ring, is frequently seen singing on screen on Channel 5, and in a hilarious outburst labelled David Price and Tony Bellew, a "Plumber from Liverpool.....and his gay lover..."

"You see you, you plumber from Liverpool, it’s personal between me and you and I’m going to do you some serious harm, you big, stiff idiot..."

However, despite all of his critiscs, Tyson remains an improving boxer with his Uncle Peter Fury controlling his training, nutrition and conditioning. His recent controlled victory of Kevin Johnson (a former World Heavyweight Champion Contender who took Vitali Klitschko 12 rounds) proved his class and solidarity in the World Rankings. He also has taken the step upto World level- unlike the emerging David Price.

Tyson has a ferocious attitude in the ring that is now dangerously being sewn in with a World Class efficiency and the intelligence to pace himself for the full 12 rounds when needed. He has a verve and strength about him, and is a genuine guy with pride in his traveller roots.

I personally am backing Tyson Fury to fight for the World Title next year; and believe the lack of support for Fury will be reversed, when David Price's chin is exposed.

What are your thoughts? Can Tyson go ALL the way?
